What do you love about wine?

The wine world has so much to give and take. I love the concept of food and wine as a united love; a marriage of two of life’s greatest pleasures and the cultural explosion they bring to the table.
Stories are made with every bottle that is opened, making every moment priceless. The people and places I’ve come to know through wine are outstanding. Enjoying wine with you and savouring your stories sip for sip, experiencing your point of view is beyond compare.
Every palate is different, and while discovering what others find interesting about it. Perhaps you won’t enjoy it the same way; perhaps you’ll adore it with your heart and soul while someone else feels less enthused. Then the next bottle opens, and you find just what you’re looking for or preferred the other one a bit more. It’s what resonates with us that make every wine so interesting; however, this bonding with the wine in a mindful way is what I truly love most about it. It brings the joy of it in each and every sip. Wine isn’t just something you drink; it’s something you experience, and I am learning more of it every single day.

As my learning journey with wine continues, I find more and more things to love about it. It is as complex as the detail that goes into the making of every bottle. I’m quite certain that if you ask me what I love about wine in another year, I’ll have even more to say.

And what’s your backstory and how did you come across wine?

I was born and raised in Venezuela with Caribbean roots and currently I live in Perth, Australia, and proud to be an Aussie. I’m like a wine blend with different terroir 😄
I wasn’t into wine before I sipped a Barossa Shiraz🍷that took me to my childhood of aromas of Christmas black cake and the rest, as they say, is history and I can be found mixing the worlds of Wine, food and travel.

Perthwinegirl today and what does the future look like?

I have come a long way since 2010 hungry to learn about wine and storytelling has been a skill I’ve had to learn to do well when it comes to communicate. There is always something to discover about wine and while I continue in this beautiful journey towards my goal to become a wine master, I feel like learning is the strong encouragement to achieve this goal so I’m continuing my wine education and sharing the love through my social channels.
